London’s best afternoon tea’s
Do you like afternoon tea, well you’re in luck! It’s afternoon tea week next week and here at Choc on Choc we’ve attempted to compile a list of the best spots to go in London, so you know just where to go next week!
1. Oxo Tower
You could head up to the traditional restaurant and have the classic version of afternoon tea or you could go to the Brasserie, where they are doing things a bit differently! Here you can get four courses of desserts that have a matching cocktail for each course! Does it get any better?
Served Monday – Friday 3-5pm, on the weekends 2-4:30 pm | £22 per person | +£11 for a glass of Champagne.
2. Biscuiteers
The team at Biscuiteers have made all of their best-selling yummy cakes and confection miniature in size and added an afternoon tea menu, featuring them all! Dream of salted caramel brownies and macarons. You can even expand your biscuiteer experience by adding on a DIY biscuit decoration class.
Severed daily from 11am-4pm, although you do have to book ahead | £30 per person | +£18 add on DIY biscuit decorating.
3.Townhouse at The Kensington
After this afternoon tea, you won’t need to see the sights of London! Along with their delicious mini sandwiches and yummy scones, they have a whole range of desserts that look like London’s most iconic sights! Shaped like the London Eye, Big Ben, the Gherkin and those classic telephone boxes in red!
By booking only | £42 per person | +£12.50 for a glass of Champagne.
4. Rosewood
This afternoon tea has just won Best Contemporary Afternoon Tea for the second year in a row! Although a little pricy, this is a must go to! However, if you go visit now they have something a bit less contemporary, currently taking inspiration from Van Gough, some of their desserts focus on sunflowers and a starry night theme!
Served daily from 2-5:30 pm and weekends from 12-5:30 pm | £58 per person | +£10 for a glass of Champagne
5. The B Bakery
The team at B Bakery in Covent Garden has decided to go all out for their afternoon tea! They’ve kitted out an old double-decker bus with retro décor and furniture, to make a moving grooving afternoon tea bus! You can see all the sights of London whilst sipping your tea and don’t worry they’re all fitted with cup holders so there will be no spillages!
There are 5 tours a day | £45 per person | +£9 for a glass of prosecco or +£28 for half a bottle of Champagne.
