How to make Easter Nests
I am a total fan of easy things, that doesn’t mean taking the shortcut, I just don’t like over complicating things. There really is no need.
When it comes to chocolate as well it should be simple and tasty.
This Easter nest is super easy to make and all you need is
- Melted chocolate.
- Piping bag.
- Bowl of ice-cold water.
- Mini eggs to decorate.
Fill a bowl with cold water and ice and leave to get cold,
Melt your chocolate over a pan of simmering water. Either break up a bar, a quick way to do this is pop the bar in a bag and give it a bash with a rolling pin or use buttons, stir them slowly as the heat comes through the bowl.
Once melted get a piping bag or a plastic food bag and place in a glass and fold the bag edges over the glass, now pour in the chocolate from the bowl. Pull up the bag and twist.
Remove the ice from the bowl and nip the end of your piping bag.
Now start squeezing the bag in a circular motion to create and nest in the water. It will freeze immediately, use a spoon to lift the nest out and place on a place, create as many nests as you have chocolate for.
Decorate your nest with chocolate mini eggs and voilà you have a beautiful table decoration.
